The European Union (EU) and the United States have agreed to intensify the technical negotiations to reach an agreement on tariffs promoted by US President Donald Trump, with expectations that it will be more advantageous than the pacts Washington has reached for the time being with London and Pek n.

European Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič and US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick agreed on Wednesday to accelerate talks on mutual tariffs at a technical level, Šefčovič announced today. As he said after the end of the meeting of EU trade ministers, the goal is to reduce differences.
