Thane police destroy nearly 1,600 kg of seized narcotics in Navi Mumbai

Thane police incinerated 1,592.7 kg of seized drugs, primarily cannabis (1,552 kg), at a Taloja facility, following court orders and SOP guidelines. The destroyed contraband included charas, heroin, MDMA, and other synthetic drugs from 60 cases across Thane district. The high-level drug disposal committee supervised the incineration, ensuring transparency and environmental safety, as per government directives.
