The big questions as WRC begins its gravel season in Portugal

The fifth round of the World Rally Championship season will take place on the roads of Portugal this weekend. Ott Tänak (Hyundai) tied for second place in Thursday's short opening stage, with Friday's race starting at 9:35 a.m. Estonian time. The Portuguese rally is divided into three stages, ranging from Sunday to Sunday, and will have 24 special classification evidence, more than two in 2024, in total of 344.5 kilometres stretched.

Welshman Elfyn Evans (Toyota), the leader in the overall standings of the World Rally Championship, made the fastest start to the rally in Portugal. The drivers only completed the super special stage in Figueira de Foz at the fifth stop of the season today, with his teammate Frenchman Sebastien Ogier in second place.
