A first outbreak of bluetongue with serotype 3 (FCO3) has just been confirmed on Wednesday, 14 May, in a cattle farm in northwestern Tarn on the Tarn-et-Garonne border, according to state services. As a result of this threat, all the livestock concerned have been rapidly vaccinated, while FCO3 has already generated more than 16,000 outbreaks in France since its introduction in 2024.
