The EU Is Considering Lowering Sanctions on Syria After the US Has Lifted Them
EU Head of Foreign Policy Kaja Kallas has proposed further relaxation of European sanctions on Syria to allow funding for Syrian ministries in areas such as reconstruction and migration, as Reuters advances. The move comes after US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he would order the lifting of sanctions on Syria. European Union Foreign Ministers are expected to discuss the relationship with Damascus at a meeting in Brussels next week.
