A24 Acquires Dev Patel’s Period Revenge Thriller ‘The Peasant’

A24 is looking to recoup the $30 million it spent on acquiring Dev Patel's historical action film The Peasant. The story has elements of Braveheart, John Wick, and even Arthurian elements. Patel has reworked the script, which made it onto the 2023 Blacklist, to feature both medieval knights and feudal India.
