The investigation into the shooting in the Slovenska Bistrica area, in which two elderly men died, is still ongoing. It is believed that the neighbors had been fighting over land for a long time. An 88-year-old man then shot and killed a 70-year-old local man on Sunday, before committing suicide.

According to the indictment, Alaa Abdel Hai ambushed brothers Marwan and Imran Jaber and fired 11 bullets at them at noon, following a quarrel over construction work on agricultural land leased to his family.

On Sunday 11 May, a family drama took place in the Schandooi in Laakdal. A man (77) violently killed his wife (71) and then took his own life. This was confirmed by the Antwerp public prosecutor's office.
