Farm Leaders Demand Protection for CAP Funding Amid EU Budget Review

UPA has called a rally this Tuesday in front of the EU headquarters in Madrid to demand that the future Common Agricultural Policy not suffer cuts in its budget. The mobilization is part of a wave of European protests led by COPA-Cogeca and will have the participation of professionals from the Castilla y León countryside.

The CAP must have an appropriate and separate budget, adequate and proportionate to the challenges and expectations towards agriculture and the CAP, says Czesław Siekierski, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
