Neighbors of La Mesa Accused of Non-Park Visitors Failing to Meet Pet Standards

Residents of Lomas Hippodrome, Olivos, Las Palmas, Las Plazas and Jardines de Chapultepec denounced the increase of visitors who come with pets without following the rules of coexistence in public parks. Tijuana, 16 May. Neighbors of fractionation located in La Mesa demand the intervention of authorities to enforce the norm to those who take pets to public parks; they said that the presence of visitors who take their dogs, who without the care of their guardians generate pollution, has increased. On the part of the fractionation Las Palmas, Claudia Esparza pointed out that the children's areas that end up contaminated and with fleas are invaded.

Three dogs, a mother and two puppies of similar character to the Husky breed, were rescued on the afternoon of Thursday, May 15 at La Carolina Park, north of Quito. Animals were being illegally offered in public space, in a practice that violates municipal regulations.
