Three KDMC officials held in same-day ACB raids in Thane; one sought Rs 60k for drainage clearance, others took Rs 20k for staff reinstatement

In a significant blow against corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested three Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) officials in two separate raids. Chief Sanitation Inspector Vasant Deghulkar and Sanitation Inspector Sudarshan Jadhav were caught accepting a bribe to reinstate a sick employee, while Junior Engineer Ravindra Ahire was apprehended for taking money from a petrol pump owner for drainage permission.
