Thuringian State Government: Reform State Treaty ARD/ZDF Strengthens KiKA Site Erfurt

The Landtag of Thuringia is the first state parliament to conclude the Reform State Treaty. Head of the Chancellery Stefan Gruhner (CDU) says what counts for the state government: comprehensive reform, signal for the KiKA in Erfurt.

The Landtag has approved two state contracts for public-legal broadcasting. The contracts negotiated by the state prime ministers are intended to make ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio more digital and modern.

Erfurt's decision: The Thuringian state parliament was the first to approve the reform state treaty for public service broadcasting. The vote was also made with the votes of the left-wing faction, as the government coalition from CDU, SPD and BSW does not have its own majority.
