On the 12th, Suzaka City in Nagano Prefecture announced the results of an investigation into the issue of false origins for Shine Muscat grapes given as return gifts for hometown tax donations, stating that a total of about 100 tons of fruit from outside the city was sent as a return gift. There was also false origins for apples and peaches, and pears were from other prefectures, including Fukushima.
