Public service, social service, culture... why is everyone on strike?

On Tuesday, 13 May 2025, a day of mobilization was organized by several public service unions to demand an improvement in the salaries of public officials.

The unions and the service voucher companies with a social objective demand that the Flemish government attach social conditions to subsidies for the sector. They said this on Wednesday in the Work Committee of the Flemish Parliament.
