Trenton honors fallen state trooper with new memorial park
Trenton officials recently dedicated Carlos Negron Memorial Park, a once-empty lot that was transformed into a playground in memory of a state police trooper who died in the line of duty.The park, which was dedicated May 23, commemorates the life of Trooper Carlos M. Negron, who was fatally shot in 1984 while helping motorists on the New Jersey Turnpike, according to a statement released by the city.
