Wind Power Plant in Bremervörde Burns: Fire Brigade in Large Use

At Bremervörde, a wind turbine was set on fire. Around 100 troops arrived, but apparently they couldn't do much: "There are no ways to fight the fire in height," the Chief of Operations is quoted.

In Bremervörde there is a wind turbine in flames. The smoke column can be seen up to Stade. The fire department can only extinguish falling debris. Police are investigating the cause of the fire.

EnBW reports that an investigation is under way after a turbine was set on fire in a wind farm operated by the company in Germany.
