- The boy sustained a diaphragmatic rupture and a stab injury to his left leg, remains hospitalized on a ventilator at Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Torres confessed to emergency personnel that she had stabbed him.
- A Cook County judge ordered Torres held pending trial on a felony aggravated battery charge, citing her as an extreme risk to the child and scheduling court for June 13.
