Baked beans recalled in 23 states, including Oregon
- On May 2, 2025, Vietti Food Group issued a recall for 4,515 cases of Yellowstone Baked Beans in 15-ounce cans, distributed across 23 states including Oregon, because the product contains soy which was not declared on the label.
- The recall followed discovery that the baked beans contained soy not listed on labels, posing serious allergic risks to soy-sensitive consumers.
- The recalled product is identified by the date "Best if Used By February 17, 2028" printed on the underside of each 15-ounce can and was distributed through retailers such as Walmart, Hy-Vee, Meijer, Associated Wholesale Grocers, and KVAT Food Stores.
- The FDA announced the recall on May 5, 2025, noting no illnesses reported yet but warning soy-allergic people could face life-threatening reactions if they consume the product.
- Consumers should return the affected beans to stores for a refund and can contact Vietti Food Group Monday through Friday at 513-682-2474 or recall@zwanfood.com with questions.
