Built on submerged caissons (a steel or reinforced concrete box designed specifically for hydrotechnical work) 300 m from the shore, the Babie Doły torpedo station fires the imagination. It is one of the most interesting places in Gdynia. It began operating in 1942 and operated until April 1945, when the Germans evacuated the facility. All the working devices were stolen by the Red Army.
